We invite you to submit your presentation at ICAFS2023! 
All oral presentations are to be delivered in English, and will be a duration of 25-40 minutes. We will select qualified oral presentations from submitted abstracts after review. More qualified speakers will be announced soon after confirmation.

Dr. Abdelfatah Abomohra
Aquatic Ecophysiology and Phycology, Institute of Plant Science and Microbiology, MIN Faculty, University of Hamburg, Germany. 
Brief introduction: He was awarded Alexander-von-Humboldt fellowship in 2022. He has published 165 articles with H index of 45. He was one of the World’s Top 2% of Scientists List by Stanford University (In 2020-2022). He received Young Scientist Medal from International Association of Advanced Materials (Sweden).
Research Interests: algal biotechnology and value-added products through processing of waste streams.
Presentation Title: Sustainable applications of algal biotechnology in food and agriculture

Dr. Chua Lee Suan
Associate professor from the Department of Bioprocess and Polymer Engineering, Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
Brief Introduction: She is also a research fellow in Institute of Bioproduct Development, UTM, supervising postgraduates and actively involved in many governmental and industrial projects since 2006. She manages to secure funding supporting her research activities and has over 150 indexed research articles published. She is reviewer and editor for prestigious international journals, and is in the list of top 2% Scientists in the world issued by Stanford Univerity. She is a registered chemist from the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry and appointed assessor of Standards Malaysia for MS ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation in testing and calibration laboratories. Her current H-index: 36.
Research Interests:  LC-MS/MS based metabolomics, phytochemical profiling, herbal processing & standardization, honey & honey bees related product development, and food product quality improvement

Dr. Luís Manuel Lopes Rodrigues Da Silva
CPIRN-UDI-IPG–Research Unit for Inland Development, Center for Potential and Innovation of Natural Resources, Polytechnic of Guarda, Portugal
Health Sciences Research Centre (CICS-UBI), Beira Interior University, Portugal
Brief Introduction: He has participated in many research projects under contract, supervised/ed or co-supervises/ed 70 research students, including 5 PhD and 6 MSc students.  He authored more than 75 publications in journals indexed at Journal Citation Reports from ISI Web of Knowledge, two books, and 20 book chapters from international editors and has more than 150 communications in national and international meetings. His H-index is: 28.
Research Interests: metabolomics applied to natural matrices, biological screening of natural products and establishment of composition/bioactivity relationships, and food microbiology

Dr. Masoumeh Ghalkhani
Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry, Electrochemistry Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Shahid RajaeeTeacher Training University, Iran.
Brief Introduction: She specializes in the preparation and application of chemically modified electrodes. She was a visiting researcher in Prof. Ana Maria Oliveira-Brett 's research group at the University of Coimbra in the period of 2009-2010. Her current H-index: 27.
Research Interests: chemistry education, synthesis of nanomaterials and their application for electro-analytical chemistry, electro-chemical catalysis, fuel cells, supercapacitors, and sensors, mainly focused on fabrication and application of modified electrodes and biosensors.

Prof. Mohammed Abdullah Alshawsh
Professor at Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia & Monash University, Australia.
Brief Introduction: He has extensive experiences in the area of microbiome, metagenomics, systematic review and meta-analysis, toxicology including acute, subacute, and chronic toxicity, genotoxicity, teratogenicity and postnatal developmental toxicity. He is a scientist member of Faculty of Medicine-Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (FOM-IACUC)-University of Malaya. He has obtained several research grants, such as UMRG, BKS, PPP, PRGS and FRGS. He has published over 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals with an h-index of 21 and has given over 25 invited and plenary lectures at international conferences and international workshops. 
Research Interests: pharmacological investigations of flavonoids, polyphenols, probiotics and their role in the management of colorectal cancer, obesity, diabetes, and fatty liver diseases as well as investigating the underlying molecular mechanisms of actions and signalling pathways.

Prof. Zafar Iqbal

Dr. Imran
Agriculture Officer, District Director Agriculture Extension Merged Area, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan 
Brief Introduction: He was awarded Swiss Development cooperation scholarship for completion of his doctorate under climate change related study. Dr. Imran published more than 80 Research articles and 30 books chapters related to climate change and crop production along with sustainable soil management practices. Recently Dr. Imran bestowed Turk Presidential scholarship award and presently working as a visiting professor and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cukurova, Faculty of Agriculture, Turkey. His current H-index: 20.
Research Interests: Specialization Crop Production; Integrated Nutrients Management; Climate change; Climate corridors and forecasting.

Prof. Dr. Cristiano José De Andrade
Professor, Department of Chemical and Food Engineering, Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil.
Brief Introduction: He is currently professor at the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering at UFSC (PósEnq). He is a member of the Red Iberoamericana para el Tratamiento de Efluentes con Microalgas (RENUWAL-Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Spain, Mexico, Portugal). He is coordinator of PRH / ANP 11.1-Sustainable Energy Development in the Oil, Gas and Biofuels Sector. He has an H-index of 17.
Research Interests: Development of biotechnological processes related to bacteria, icro and macroalgae, particularly metabolism (proteomics); Bioproducts with high surfactant activity;  Purification processes, membranes and high pressure extraction and identification of biomolecules; Application of advanced biosurfactants and bioactive compounds; Development of food processes.

Prof. Dr. Shahrul Razid Sarbini
Professor, Campus Director, Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Sarawak Campus, Malaysia.
Brief Introduction: His field of expertise is on Functional Foods. He has published fruitful papers associated with the prebiotic evaluation of local food, gut microbiota assessment, starch modification, together with functional food enhancement. He has also spoken in various conferences and seminars. He has an H-index of 16.
Research Interest: Functional Foods (Prebiotic; Probiotic; Gut Microbiota), development of sago starch as a potential prebiotic; Structure and function relationship of prebiotic; Screening of novel probiotic microorganisms from the environment.

Prof. Vassya Bankova 
Full professor, Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Bulgaria
Brief Introduction: Professor Bankova has been exploring the chemical properties of propolis for over 30 years contributing to over 200 papers, she has an h-index of over 60. She received the Elsevier Award for excellence in global research, in research topics in which Bulgaria has a significant and growing global impact for her studies on propolis, in 2018.
Research Interests: devoted to the bee product propolis (bee glue): its chemistry, plant origin, biological activity, health-promoting potential, analysis, standardization.
Presentation Title: A green way to obtain bioactive extracts from natural sources: the NADES

Prof. Ilkay Erdogan Orhan
Faculty of Pharmacy, Gazi University, Turkey
Brief Introduction: Dr. Orhan received several awards such as Young Woman Scientist Award in Asia continent by OWSD & Elsevier, Science Award in Biology by COMSTECH, Young Woman Scientist Award (in Life Sciences) by L’Oreal & Turkish Academy of Sciences, and Honor Award by Gazi University, Innovation Award for Women in Turkey, Science Award by Turkish Association of Pharmacists, Golden Mortar Science Award in Pharmacy, Silver Medal for Patent in International Invention Fair by Turkish Ministry of Science and Technology as well as Best Academic Invention Medal by IFIA. Her h index is 46 (Web of Science) and 51 (SCOPUS) with over 9000 citations.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Giuseppe Grosso
Associate Professor, Department of Biomedical and Biotechnological Sciences, School of Medicine, University of Catania, Catania, Italy
Brief Introduction: He has been recognized as Highly Cited Researcher from Clarivate-Web of Science and he is the President of the Food and Nutrition Section of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA). He has an H-index over 60.
Research Interests: impact of dietary and lifestyle habits on common non-communicable diseases, evaluat the effects of dietary pattern and specific antioxidant-rich foods as well as individual antioxidants on non-communicable diseases.

Prof. Bing Wang
Professor in Veterinary Anatomy and Physiology, Charles Sturt University, Australia.
Brief Introduction: She has made major contributions to the field of Nutritional Neurobiology and Glycobiology, and thus has emerged as an internationally recognized leader on the nutritional significance of human milk sialylglycoconjugates and brain cognitive development, has an H-index of over 20.
Research Interests: key area of molecular biochemistry & molecular biology with an emphasis on nutritional Glycobiology/Sialobiology and brain function, particular interests of neurodevelopment, cognitive function, eye and vision function, gut-brain axis for brain cognitive function using piglet as an animal model.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cataldo Pulvento

Dr. Saddam Hussain
Web of Science 2021 Highly Cited Researcher. He has been recognized with several international distinctions/awards in recent years. He published over 100 refereed journal papers, many of which have sought to understand the morphological, physiological, biochemical and molecular basis of crop responses (rice in particular) to individual and concurrent abiotic stresses and mechanisms imparting tolerance for such stresses. He has an h-index over 50.
